Getting Started :

Get the most out of your investment

  • Know what you don't know.
    • As the first step, perform a gap analysis of your knowledge base. Find out what you don't know and whether those subjects are offered here? Do not forget to check table of contents (TOC) if the required subject is offered here. We provide detailed TOC for each subject. Then base your subscription decisions on your findings.
  • Make a plan. (As per the learning methodology described above)
    • Please spend some time reading through the explanation about ‘Learning Methodology' described herein above. There are components that you can use as and when convenient to you but there may be some components like LVC or Assessments that you should attend as per schedule.
  • Check your computer.
    • Requirements for consuming our courses are very simple but you need to make sure that you have all of them. If you keep your computer ready before you start with a course, it will save you a lot of frustration and agony.
    • Make sure you have a computer with enough RAM (512 MB recommended) that runs Windows 2000 / XP and Internet Explorer (our courses are currently configured to run best on these) and is connected to a reasonably fast internet connection (broadband recommended).
    • Also make sure that Internet Explorer supports Java and has the latest Flash plug-in installed.
  • Avoid distractions.
    • When you start accessing your course, try and avoid distractions. Your course is for limited duration so if you leave the learning screen open while you are distracted, you stand to lose that time. Make the most out of your investment. Focus on your study and gain knowledge.
  • Relax and enjoy your learning.
    • If you are stressed, your brain will not be in receptive mode and you won't learn. Our courses are designed by professional instructional designers in a very lucid and easy stepped manner. Have a cup of hot chocolate or coffee by your side, relax and enjoy your learning.
  • Make notes.
    • Making your own notes while you are learning, is a good habit. It increases retention of knowledge by your brain by 30%. It will also help you focus better and prevent distraction.
  • Share your knowledge.
    • Knowledge increases by sharing. Discuss what you learnt with your friends, relatives and colleagues. We also provide discussion forum where you can post your findings, queries, etc. and communicate with your peers and teachers.
